What we do
Hallmarking & assaying services — nothing else.
From BIS-mandatory jewellery hallmarking to specialized bullion testing and regulatory guidance. Every service backed by scientific precision and complete documentation.
01
Gold Jewellery Hallmarking
Our gold jewellery hallmarking service covers all BIS-recognized gold purity standards including 14K (585), 18K (750), 20K (833), 22K (916), 23K (958), and 24K (999). Every article is tested using calibrated XRF spectrometry, and those meeting the declared purity standard are hallmarked with the official BIS mark and assigned a HUID through the BIS portal. We maintain strict adherence to BIS operational guidelines and calibration schedules to ensure every hallmark we apply is backed by accurate, reliable testing.
Contact usStandard turnaround is typically within the same working day for routine lots. Larger lots may require additional time.
Retail jewellers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and exporters dealing in gold jewellery.
Articles are submitted with documentation, tested via XRF spectrometry, and compliant pieces are hallmarked with the BIS logo, fineness number, and HUID. The process follows BIS IS 1417 standard.
Jeweller's BIS registration certificate, job sheet with item details (weight, declared karat/fineness, quantity), and applicable fees.
02
Silver Jewellery Hallmarking
With BIS extending hallmarking requirements to silver articles, our centre is fully equipped to test and hallmark silver jewellery at all recognized fineness levels. Our XRF instruments are calibrated for accurate silver analysis, and our team is trained in the specific requirements of silver hallmarking under the BIS framework.
Contact usTypically same-day or next working day for standard lots.
Silver jewellery manufacturers, retailers, and dealers in silver articles and artefacts.
Silver articles are tested using XRF spectrometry to determine silver content. Compliant articles are hallmarked with the BIS mark, fineness, and HUID as per the applicable BIS standard.
Jeweller's BIS registration, job sheet with silver article details (weight, declared fineness, quantity), and applicable fees.
03
Assaying & Purity Testing
Our assaying services go beyond standard hallmarking to provide detailed purity analysis for gold and silver in any form — jewellery, bullion, scrap, or raw material. We offer XRF spectrometry for rapid non-destructive testing and fire assay for definitive, referee-grade analysis. All testing follows calibration protocols aligned with BIS norms and international best practices.
Contact usXRF results available within hours. Fire assay results typically within 1–2 working days.
Jewellers needing purity verification, bullion dealers, refiners, banks, and institutions requiring assay certificates.
Articles or samples are tested using XRF spectrometry for non-destructive analysis. Fire assay (cupellation) is available for situations requiring the highest accuracy or for resolving disputes. Results are provided in a detailed assay certificate.
Sample identification details, requested analysis type, and applicable fees. For fire assay, a small sample may need to be cut from the article.
04
Bullion Testing
We provide comprehensive testing services for gold and silver bullion — including bars, coins, biscuits, and doré. Our laboratory is equipped to handle individual pieces as well as bulk lots. For investment-grade bullion, we provide assay certificates that detail the methodology used, the measured purity, and all relevant identification information.
Contact usDepends on the quantity and testing method required. XRF screening is rapid; fire assay results within 1–2 working days.
Bullion dealers, banks, refiners, mining companies, and institutional investors.
Bullion items are tested using XRF for initial screening and fire assay for definitive purity determination. Specific gravity testing may be used as a complementary method. Detailed assay certificates are issued.
Bullion identification details (weight, markings, source), requested testing method, and applicable fees.

05
Documentation & Regulatory Guidance
Navigating the regulatory landscape of mandatory hallmarking can be complex. We offer guidance to jewellers on BIS registration requirements, mandatory hallmarking compliance, documentation best practices, and how to stay current with evolving BIS regulations. Our goal is to help our partner jewellers maintain seamless compliance so they can focus on their core business.
